Services Manager
-
Full-time position, consultant contract
-
April–December 2026, with possibility for extension
-
£50,400 pro rata (£4,200/month)
-
Remote, but must be +/- 3 hours from UK time
Our context
The Outcome Gap helps companies and their partners move from “activity reporting” to evidence of improved outcomes in responsible sourcing and human rights due diligence (HRDD). We design practical measurement approaches, rooted in credible standards and real-world operating constraints, so teams can prioritise action, learn what’s working and show progress with integrity.

We are a small, multi-disciplinary team working with major companies, multi-stakeholder initiatives and other key supply chain actors. We’re growing quickly and are hiring a Services Manager to help us scale delivery while maintaining quality, rigour, and impact.
The team works from different locations around the world. This role sits at the heart of our organisation and will be central to project and team coordination. You’ll have oversight across projects and clients, driving delivery standards, refining our ways of working and ensuring we consistently deliver exceptional results.
The role
This is a new position that will evolve quickly, in line with both organisational need and the person who comes in and helps shape it. You will have the opportunity to work across projects and accounts, partnering closely with the core team and consultants to ensure high-quality delivery and strong commercial performance.

Responsibilities

-
Manage the delivery of complex responsible sourcing and human rights due diligence (HRDD) projects day-to-day, orchestrating timely and high quality delivery of our work.
-
Lead professional client communication on progress, decisions needed and any changes to scope, timing or approach.
-
Ensure colleagues are briefed appropriately, with risks flagged early. Proactively identify solutions so the team adjusts before issues affect delivery.
-
Play a central role in team coordination across multiple projects. Organise team meetings, scheduling and plan delivery across workstreams: timelines, roles, meetings, and clear next steps. Take a lead coordinating internal learning meetings and project reviews.
-
Support the development of the services strategy that will improve results for workers in global supply chains, pushes innovation and enables scalable growth for the business.
-
Manage project finances by tracking budgets and monitoring consultant time.
-
Strengthen how we deliver by creating and maintaining templates, checklists, systems and ways of working that improve consistency and save time.
-
Support business development efforts by contributing to technical and financial proposals and developing reusable marketing assets (e.g. slides and short case studies).
-
Support the identification and recruitment of new consultant talent to meet the needs of new projects as they arise.
What we're looking for
We care about positive energy, good judgement, agility and quality more than a perfect CV or number of years’ experience. You’ll do well here if you take ownership and initiative, move fast and communicate clearly.

You may come from a responsible sourcing consultancy, ESG advisory firm, specialist human rights organisation or a sustainability function inside a multinational company, or have experience in Monitoring, Evaluation, Accountability and Learning (MEAL) from the development sector.

Be confident project managing complex, multi-stakeholder projects, including budget and timeline management
-
Be experienced in a B2B consultancy environment with the professional skills to match
-
Have a strong grounding in responsible sourcing and/or human rights due diligence
-
Be fluent in - or willing to learn - the language of monitoring, evaluation, accountability and learning (MEAL), impact management and/or data analytics
-
Be excited about using tech for good - adept using different tools like Miro and Claude and willing to get involved in product development conversations as we expand our offering
-
Be comfortable facilitating and presenting, making active efforts to be inclusive
-
Be skilled in creating visually compelling powerpoint decks
-
Be a proactive problem-solver
You will thrive here if you:
-
Are motivated at the prospect of a fluid start-up environment within the responsible sourcing and impact space
-
Can operate proactively with minimal supervision
